Whale Watch!

Yesterday Raewyn went for a walk down to the Mapua end of Rabbit Island and this is what she found! This whale was washed up by the waves it is very dead! It is a Humpback Whale about 15m long. Very impressive not something you get to see every day. A special treat!

The Whale has now been buried so it can rest in peace.

We watched some You Tube videos with humpback whales swimming and breaching. They were awesome.

that's a huge whale what whale was it? Seems like a lot of things happens around your class.
