Awesome Athletics Day

Fantastic! Amazing! Incredible! Crazy Cheering! Nervous! Exciting! Extraordinary! Exhausted! Proud! Unstoppable!

Last Friday was our most awesome athletics day, we performed an incredible dance, we jumped like kangaroos, we sprinted like a cheetah, and we threw like super strong men. The House relay was the most exciting, everyone was cheering like crazy people.

Lucia and Bubbles

    Lucia brought one of her beautiful puppies to school to see us today.
Lucia has EIGHT! puppies just like Bubbles.
Can you imagine having EIGHT babies to look after!!!!!
Bubbles is eight weeks old.
Bubbles is leaving home tomorrow because she has a new family to go and live with in Auckland.

Top Chef!

On Friday's we do baking with Ann. So far we have made Anzac biscuits, Mouse Traps, Fruit Tarts, Gingerbread Men and Potato Wedges.
We have fun making everything and look forward to eating all the yummy food. We are great at working as a team and at taking turns! 
The  Potato Wedges have been the most popular. We  found that out by asking everyone to vote for their favourite thing.

Writing Reports

We are learning to write Reports. 
We have chosen to write them about the creatures we found at the Rocky Shore.


First we found out as much as we could about our creature.
Next we wrote Word Webs to help organise our ideas.
Then we decided on some Headings so we could write our information in a way that was easy to understand.
We chose  APPEARANCE ,  DIET,  HABITAT and UNUSUAL FACT.
Now all we have to do is publish them!
We will share some on our blog when they are finished.

Whale Watch!

Yesterday Raewyn went for a walk down to the Mapua end of Rabbit Island and this is what she found! This whale was washed up by the waves it is very dead! It is a Humpback Whale about 15m long. Very impressive not something you get to see every day. A special treat!

The Whale has now been buried so it can rest in peace.
